Athletics Hall Of Fame

Overview

The Hammond Athletics Hall of Fame was established to recognize those individuals who have distinguished themselves in the Hammond athletic community either by 1) their athletic success at Hammond and beyond, 2) the impact of their coaching on student-athletes, both on and off the playing field, or 3) the positive contributions they have made to Hammond athletics.

Criteria for the Hall of Fame Nominations

  • Former Hammond athletes from all varsity teams may be nominated, they must be five years removed from graduation at Hammond and must be retired from their professional playing career.
  • Coaches and individuals who have made positive contributions to Hammond athletics are eligible for nomination. Coaches and Hammond employees must be five years removed from Hammond Employment.
  • Athletic Nominees are nominated based on their performance in Hammond varsity athletics and their athletics success at the collegiate and/or professional level. Professional careers may be taken into consideration as well.

The Nomination Process

Nominations are made by current Hall of Fame members and voted on for final selection by a committee comprised of current staff, alumni, coaches and administration.

A class of no more than six will be inducted every two years following the initial induction.
