Our forward-thinking philosophy for early learners embraces a well-rounded approach that emphasizes independence and confidence, while helping develop a love of learning. The Lower School curriculum inspires the growth of each learner by providing rich opportunities to expand curiosity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth.
Faculty specialists in design-thinking and maker space, physical education, art, music, science, technology, library, nature and Spanish, help extend learning past the classroom. These co-curricular classes are housed in stimulating settings that engage through active and creative interdisciplinary explorations.
Building life-long relationships and a strong sense of community is as much a part of the Lower School experience as anything else. Weekly gatherings, family style lunches, collaborative lessons, celebrations, and activities between grade levels begin with our youngest students and further strengthen a tight-knit community. Our faculty to student ratio and team-style collaboration with parents support the development of strong individualized relationships with students, crafting each child's educational journey toward success.
